Born and raised in London, Zara loved to sing and dance from a young age and enjoyed spending hours in her room writing all the lyrics to musicals and performing each part. She has enjoyed a long career in the music industry working as a backing vocalist for Bob Geldof and working on tour, in television and in videos with artists such as Matt Bianco, Nick Kamen, David Essex, Perfect Day, Dire Straits’ John Illsley, and Bananarama. In 2005, Zara released her solo album entitled “When the Rain Stops.” Inspired by her three children, Zara began creating children’s music which then led her to develop her music classes for kids. Her classes have the children dancing, playing instruments, and of course, singing. The children continually help her with ideas and will ask Zara to write songs for them about certain things they like. Zara visits the Watchung Co-op every other week, and her classes are always a highlight for our children.
